Darby Equipment extends it mission statement to include the community and world that we live and work in.
Sustainablity - Darby has an active recycling program and included many sustainable initiatives in the construction of its new world headquarters, including geothermal heat/air, high efficiency glass and insulation and water conserving utilities.
Supporting Future Generations – Darby actively and financially supports the scholarship funds of several important organizations including the Pipe Line Contractors Association and the Distribution Contractors Association. Darby also supports or has supported the San Miguel Middle School, the Zarrow School, Carver Middle School, Jackson Elementary School, and several youth organizations including Youth Services of Tulsa.
Community – Darby supports or has supported many organizations that benefit our community and in many cases a larger national organization, including the Tulsa Big Brothers & Big Sisters, the Prevent Blindness Foundation, the Klumb Foundation, the Local 798 Pipeliners Voluntary Fund, the Pipe Liners Club of Tulsa and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The company has recently worked with the City of Tulsa to clean up the surrounding area.
Wellness – Darby proudly supports wellness programs for its employees including the use of a wellness coordinator, an onsite fitness center, an active walking program, weight loss programs and nutrition education.
Ethical Business Practices – Darby actively and financially supports the Oklahoma Business Ethics Consortium, a non-profit organization with over 700 members that seeks to establish Oklahoma as a state known for high personal and corporate ethical standards.
